Folklore-Inspired Women’s Ready-to-Wear

1/6
This collection is inspired by my childhood.
As a little girl,
I grew up watching many movies including Star Wars and The Hobbit movies.
This was a family gathering tradition. I was deeply interested in The Hobbits' lifestyle and the characters' interaction with nature as part of their community.
My inspiration also comes from a strong social influence in @fairlylocalfamily on YouTube.
The inspiration lies in a young woman living in a cottage surrounded by flora and fauna. As the flowers bloom around her, so does she. Gone is her previously conditioned mindset forced upon her by society. Although her past is riddled with thorns, her future is of her desires knowing what real education is. Like the cycles of nature, she carries this new knowledge with her onto her children turning this new foundation into a better, more accepting future for them.
The spark essentially derives from the relationship between humans and nature.

Tactile interpretation of original idea
I aimed to explore the roots of repurposed materials by creating a collage from my own items, inspired by a social influencer who promotes frugality and mindfulness. Her approach motivates me to value my skills, navigate existing systems, and integrate sustainability into daily life and long-term solutions.
